I lift my fingers up with terrible pain in my arms to type this entry out to share out the joy and achievement i had over this weekend. Went for kayaking 1 star course with kent, and really really....it was freaking tiring. After the first day, i really felt that my bones will break into 100 parts, and my muscles will tear apart any moment. But still, i have to complete this 2 day course, and i dragged myself down to kallang for the 2nd day course. Luckily it turns out that the 2nd day wasnt as bad as the 1st day, and we had much fun playing water polo on kayaks (my team won by the way =) ) Kallang basin's water is absolutely disgusting. While doing our rescue exercise today, we can see dead fishes- the word is DEAD...in the water, floating past us-yucks! And those fishes are those we see on our dinner tables-urgh. Still, the course was pretty enriching-kayaking is not that simple as we've thought it to be. Learnt some techniques, and made me kindna keen on learning of other skills (out of sch work), got to catch up with kent, and met new nus people =) Cut my leg, tanned and burnt out my fair skin and strained my muscles (which i have not been doing that for a really really long time). I guess age is really getting to me. Footdrills under hot scorching sun for 2 hours every week didnt seem that tiring, and in those days, i'll still have the energy to study for exams, but now...i'm groaning in pain...arghhhh! However, i feel a sense of satisfaction and achievement finishing this physically demanding course-carrying kayaks, paddling through waters, capsizing own boats.

Kent and i at 'wang jiao' for teabreak after kayakying-both tired and hunGry!

Coffee to keep me going through the rest of the evening
Met up with carola at night, and she had this lovely present for me! She actually got her mom to do up this cute little calendar with pictures of her home and hometown in switzerland! That is totally unexpected. I thought she had a simple gift for me, and i never did thought that she will have something made for me =) that is just so sweet of her! Plus, she gave me a couple of swiss chocs-the REAL swiss chocs. Mmm...i know that it will definitely taste good. Had dinner at MOF with her, and really enjoyed the night out with her again. Too bad she's gonna leave after her exchange =( Well, hopefully i can visit her soon in switzerland! Okay...thats for now...my hand is aching like mad now. ta-da~
I'm holding up the calendar that her mom collated for me, the picture shows the overview of her hometown.
