Being in a band again is a familiar yet new experience. Familiar with the instruments, scores, notes, music, yet on the other hand, new at knowing new people, under a new instructor (not my mr tay any more), and well, being a freshie in the horn section. Horn section has 18 people in total!! That is just so crazy...and the full band size is 150. Big band...cool...so that a lot others can cover me...hahas...compared to a 10+ band in jjc, this is totally different. Its also unlike days in newtown where seniors are strict and i was still in the 'learning how to play' stage. People in NUSWS are good at playing, and i think i'll still need some time to adjust to the "coolness" in the people in my section, and hope that we will be able to break the ice real soon. SL looks friendly, not like the past where i will tremble in sight of geraldine, and the times where i'll get angry with lance for joking too much and not doing his job =p
Went to the comex fair on thursday, and there's a major jam on the highway exit even before we enter the carpark area. Bought loads of stuff and spent like $400 in just 2 hours. Oh my gosh..i think i will need to really hold back on spending. Bought an i pod nano for my sister (though i'm still against apple stuff), wanted to see whats so great about an i pod see..and well, to pamper my sister for once.
Going for a movie with yihui later, and my stomach is growling from no dinner. Hung out with jc pals and weijie in the afternoon. Thank you cheng wai for the gifts you got for me! =)

The Beijing olympics are finally over...that means one less program on television to look forward to =( My favourite matches are definitely table-tennis (SIN-KOR), volleyball-women's (USA), gymnastics (rhythmic) and the athletics. I was pratically hooked on the olympics channels on cable for the past 16 days...starhub rocks! I can say that beijing did such a good job on hosting the game this year, and seriously wonder how london 2012 can outshine them.
Xinyi's band concert this evening was pretty good. It further confirms my stand on joining NUS band. Music is something we all cannot live without i guess...just sitting down there, listening to familiar sounds of the french horns made me recall all the good memories, and brought back my love for notes and the beautiful tone of the horn. I'm just hoping that my section members can be more welcoming and helpful of me trying to recall everything of what i've learnt in the past years.
There's school tomorrow!!! Oh gosh...its the 3rd week of school already. Time flies...too quickly. no!!!

First day of school after a long break with holidays and work in between. There's only one lecture though, and good news that prof low's taking this lecture...rejoice! Went over to aiping's place to enjoy her wonderful gym, running on the treadmill and training up my leg muscles. Then we went for a swim...oh man...thats life. Nothing to worry and to think about, just laze around in the pool, watching lance having fun by himself with the water. I havent been laughing that much in the past months as compared to this day i realised. Thanks you guys, for finding my laughter back. Went to mediacorp with weijie to catch "xiao jing teng" on superband as he was the guest star, but he only sang one song!!! Its not enough for our ears!!!

My dear lecturer nearly killed us with his slow and boring lecture early in the morning at 8am. Oh my... Anyways, we then helped ourselves to the refreshments outside lecture theatre as we had a 5 min break from law lecture-law is scary...
Olympics are getting more and more interesting than ever! I really wanna watch the table tennis team get into the finals...Go Team Singapore!

No school, no school, no school!!! How i wish thats an everyday thing, but well, we all have to wake up to reality someday. Went for a swim alone today after failing to convince my mom and sis to swim with me in the hot sun. The most happening thing today would be going for band's welcome tea i guess. Its amazing that i can still find myself in a band, playing my beloved french horn (though i forgot quite a number of fingerings), and enjoying the music. And guess what...i saw suyin there....!!!OMG...this is huge news to me and lance i guess..its just weird seeing your junior there (and esp if you havent been treating her well back then).
Anyways, chantel got in to final 3 in America's Next Top Model!!! Yes! Next week will be the season finale...must watch!
New semester, new beginning. I mustn't waste my time anymore. We've got to live life to the fullest isnt it? 3 months of holidays with all the travelling around the globe (ok...not really), and being with the people you love is the most blessed thing you can experience. I've got the chance to meet up with my dearest friend there in sydney-wen haw, and soofeng in gold coast, and to enjoy a 4 day trip to taiwan with my lovable family. =) Of course, finding a job is necessary to cover the costs, so wen haw, dont complain that i have to return to singapore on time ok? Coming back, i feel good about this semester! It just feels so different as compared to the last sem, where i really felt lost and kindna not myself i think. I wasnt really happy, in fact, a lot of things were on my mind back then and its not something pleasant. Well, alls over, and so far so good for the new sem!

Avril Lavigne-Runaway
Got up on the wrong side of life today yeah Crashed the car and I'm gonna be really late My phone doesn't work cause it's out of range Looks like it's just one of those kind of days You can't kick me down I'm already on the ground No you can't cause you couldn't catch me anyhow Blue skies but the sun isn't coming out no Today it's like I'm under a heavy cloud
And I feel so alive I can't help myself, don't you realize
I just wanna scream and lose control Throw my hands up and let it go Forget about everything and runaway yeah I just want to fall and lose myself Laughing so hard it hurts like hell Forget about everything and runaway yeah
So So is how I'm doing if you're wondering I'm in a fight with the world but I'm winning Stay there come closer it's at your own risk Yeah you know how it is life can be a bitch
But I feel so alive I can't help myself, don't you realize
I just wanna scream and lose control Throw my hands up and let it go Forget about everything and runaway yeah I just want to fall and lose myself Laughing so hard it hurts like hell Forget about everything and runaway yeah
I just wanna scream and lose control Throw my hands up and let it go Forget about everything and runaway yeah I just want to fall and lose myself Laughing so hard it hurts like hell Forget about everything and runaway yeah

I guess this is the most frequent i have blogged all these years...there's so many things to share with you guys out there! Now, i'm finishing up with woeilin's birthday present, and already late for her birthday celebration =p
HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Woeilin...finally turn 20 years old already huh? Haha...the 20 year old curse is getting to almost everyone in the group and i'm not the only old one anymore!!! ok...21 is coming...yes..yes...i know. The weather is good today for steamboat!!! I hope we will all have a great time later yea?
Dad came home this afternoon, claiming that he lost his phone, and through dear woeilin's experiences in losing her mobileS, I called up my dad's no. and it rang. With instinct, i knew that the handphone should not be stolen, but probably my dad drop it somewhere. True enough, we retraced his path and went to his car, the handphone was lying on the grass carpark beside his car. Thank god for your blessings and saving us the trouble and time in acquiring a new sim card.
Ok...running late. Shall update further on birthday details.Ta-da...
I miss you!!! Can you hear that?! I suppose you cant, and you never will again.
