Hellos everyone! I'm back from my trip, just finished with my swim in the pool downstairs, and feeling a little hungry. I so missed the "lu rou fan" from taiwan! and there's fried chicken, bubble tea, mee sua, fried dumpling, steamboat...all so delicious!! I didnt try the smelly tofu though...not my cup of tea. Who dares to complain that singapore is hot!?! I can be sure that the weather in taiwan is much more worse than singapore..i nearly got evaporated by the heat! We took china airlines, the plane wasnt full and we had seats that allowed us to pull the back seat all the way back, and i pratically slept my way through. First thing i noticed in taiwan-the airport. Looks like the airport in bangkok when i travelled to thailand in sec 2..well, not a bit like our changi international airport, which by the way, fell to 2nd in place in the world, losing to hong kong international.

Donuts galore!

First stop, the hotel-riverview hotel. The receptionist didnt give me a fantastic impression, but the rooms were great! One queen sized bed each for my sis and I. We headed to taipei 101, a tourist attraction where you take this lift and it brings you up to 88th floor in just a few seconds.

New york new york shopping centre! Where many artists held their autograph sessions at.

Yoshinoya!!! My sister and i shouted together when we saw the store across the street... something familiar at least.

This was the first proper meal we had-"hua zhi geng" (sotong soup in english) Pretty good meal, with the mee fen cooked differently from what we had in singapore.

Ice for dessert! We had such a great time having this sumptous dessert, but the next moment on taiwan's news, they reported several dessert stalls not having to meet the hygiene requirements and this stall was one of them...NOoooo!

Yes, this is the station nearest to our hotel which is right in the middle of ximen ding, where all the youngsters hang out, and funny funny things around. hahs. =)

This is the one way ticket for the mrt. Taiwan people drive on the right, thus, for everything else, they keep right unlike singaporeans. On the escalator, it is usual for them to stand on the right, while we four will keep left..that took us quite some time to adjust to their system.

Its the infamous smelly tofu.......!!!!can you guys smell it from here? haha.

How high can you jump my dear sis?hahas...=)

Steamboat for lunch!

Techonology freak!!! Cant leave my handphone alone for one moment...and i receive weird calls there...weird. I am so gonna be MIA for a moment. To contact me, please call my home as i will be at home hibernating until further notice.

Mountians can be seen quite easily in taiwan.

Jiu fen. Woodcrafts are sold in almost every store. Of course, there are many stalls selling snacks!

Fried chicken cutlet and original bubble tea from taiwan in the famous shilin night market! I cant believe that i actually went there. The chicken...MMmmmmmMMMMmm. Out of the world!

We came across this place, something like 'images of singapore' in sentosa, except this is 'images of taiwan'. I love this kind of places...allows us to look at things that people use in the olden days.

Where are you looking at mom!?! I'm starting lesson already!

Haha...my dad thought there's someone else out there who likes yanzi as much as me to write her name on the blackboard! For those who are still blur, it is written by me....

This may probably be my car if i live way back in the 50s...hahas.

Oh yes...this place...so memorable-tan shui. Nearly killed me there. Oh MY!! Super hot...i think i never felt such intense heat in my entire life before..not even during all the 3 hour footdrills under the hot noon sun.

On the train.

Right in the middle of ximen ding!

For wen haw, its your favourite!!
