Quote from janice in 'friends':"OH MY GOD".I totally hate taking the mrt.
Reason no.1:there is hardly any space for you to stand, especially in peak hours, when people crowd near the doorways, refusing to move into the middle of the cabin.
Reason no.2:Finally,there is space for your two legs to step steady on the train, and you find difficulty maintaining your balance, when some people (who by the way, thinks themselves as the queens and kings of all trains)presses their huge mass of body onto the whole entire pole.Hello!?! Reality check! You are not the king nor queen of england!~please spare a thought for the other singaporeans who needs to grab onto the pole for balance too!Its ok if the train is empty if ya lean onto one,but if the damm train is packed with tired people from work, spare a thought for them, let them at least have a part of the pole to grab onto, and spare them from the embarrasment of being thrown all over the train if it pulls over,or making bends around a corner.
Reason no.3:there is no privacy on the train to read a paper,or a book,or even minding your own business. Its like everyone will be rolling their eyes around, peeping into other's newspaper, looking at how you are dressed, sometimes i do get a feeling that i have something on my face if i keep getting glares from people in the train...yikes!
Moral of story: take the bus. =)
